Hazel Findlay & StrongMind

The Castle are welcoming Hazel Findlay and Angus Kille of Strongmind for their only in-person workshops in London this year!

Fear of Falling Masterclass: an on-the-wall roped climbing masterclass helping overcome the greatest obstacle most climbers experience in roped climbing.

Masterclass workshop: an off-the-wall workshop exploring the psychology of how mindset coaching can drastically improve climbing performance, and be the key to unlocking progression.

Who are Hazel and Angus?

Having sat at the upper echelons of the sport since her teenage years, Hazel Findlay has made her mark as a true legend of rock climbing. Her list of achievements are etched into the history of the sport - the first British female to free climb El Capitan in Yosemite, the third ascent of Magic Line, as well as having sport climbed up to 9a, and trad climbed up to E9.

Drawing from her physical achievements, as well as academic study, Hazel has become one of the sport's most qualified and in-demand figures for mindset training, offering transformative workshops to aid climbers in recognising, and working through mental barriers, as well as fear of falling.

Partnering Hazel is Angus Kille, an elite climber, with ascents up to E10 / 9a, and notable FAs - most recently E9 Patrescence. Also a trained mountain guide, Angus has been training rock skills for 10 years, and fall practice for 5 years, and brings a wealth of professional experience, and a lifetime of passion for rock, to his coaching.
