Women of Wales (WoW): Ferdia Earle: Climber and Nutritional Therapist

Ferdia Earle is a BANT-registered Nutritional Therapist and climber based in Llanberis. She is something of an all-rounder having climbed up to E8, f7c, slate 8a, winter grade VII, dabbled with big walling and established her own hard trad routes.

Ferdia found her way to Nutritional Therapy when she became plagued by a host of mysterious and scary symptoms six years ago. Living the life of a full time climber, she found herself floored by fatigue, gut, hormonal and sensory issues, as well as losing her voice. When mainstream medicine drew a blank, Ferdia realised she would have to take her health into her own hands.

In this talk, Ferdia will share what she has learnt from the process of returning to full health, which she considers her hardest project to date. How this has transformed her approach to life and climbing and how this experience and the knowledge gained may help you respond to life's curve balls too.

Ferdia will split the evening up with an intermission where there will be plenty of time for a cuppa and reflection with time at the end for questions and group-led discussion.

This evening is for anyone who identifies as a woman.
It is of particular interest to those struggling with their relationship with their climbing or chosen sport, navigating health issues or other personal challenges, or just wants to get together with other women for the evening.

There will be a special offer on Ferdia's Nutritional Therapy consultations and programmes for attendees.
