A Peak Experiences birthday party is a unique and exciting way to celebrate a special day. It offers active and adventurous experiences that are perfect for kids who enjoy physical and fun-filled activities!
The party kicks off with an introduction to the climbing gym, where trained staff guide participants through the rules of the gym and gear them up with harnesses.
Once everyone is ready, the real adventure begins as guests take to the climbing walls. With a range of routes available, from beginner-friendly to more advanced challenges, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The use of Auto Belays ensures that participants can climb at their own pace, descending whenever they’re ready.
After an exhilarating hour of climbing on Auto Belays, the excitement kicks up a notch as staff members begin to belay climbers on the famous rainbow ladder. This colorful and vibrant ladder is not just a climb but a true test of balance, coordination, and determination. Each level presents a new challenge, getting taller and wobblier as climbers ascend. The cheerful colors of the ladder add an extra layer of fun, making it a favorite attraction for kids and adults alike.
After the climbing session, the celebration continues in a specially decorated party room. It’s the perfect way to cap off a day of adventure, leaving everyone with lasting memories of a truly special birthday celebration!

It's a friendly members-only lead competition that's more about your head game than how hard you can climb.
The rules of the game are simple:
Scoring
This challenge is designed to encourage you to try that move and overcome the fear of falling. You'll be surprised how much harder and further you can climb once you just start going for it.
Divisions
When deciding which category to compete in, choose one grader lower than your redpoint level, ie. if your hardest lead climbs are in the 5.11 range, sign up for the 5.10 category. Not sure what category is the right one? Challenge yourself and sign up for the harder category or ask for a second opinion from ryan@peakexperiences.com
The divisions break down as follows:
Each division will have a marked selection of roughly 20 or so climbs to tackle, so don't forget to strategize your climbing!
For our Midlothian event, the gym will only be open to participating members and their fans, which means more space for you! Additionally, to allow for more participants, there will be an 10am -2pm and a 2:30pm to 6:30 session. Following awards, stick around for a beverage social from 7-8pm with an assortment of lawn games.
There will be prizes for the top scorers and for everyone else, complimentary post-climb (or post-whip) beers from our buds at Väsen Brewing!
If you have any questions, reach out to Ryan Akens at ryan@peakexperiences.com
This should be obvious, but you must be lead-climb and lead-belay certified at Peak Experiences in order to participate.
