This is the session for anyone who is 14 or over, with no experience of bouldering who wants to come and climb unsupervised or who wants to have a taste of bouldering.

The course is an hour-long session with one of our instructors, and focuses on demonstrating what a safe bouldering session may look like. This course is obligatory if you would like to use The Project Climbing Centre but have never climbed before and don't know any registered climbers who can sign you in.

After doing this session:

• Ages 18+ can climb unsupervised straight away and and sign in up to two guests
• Ages 16-17 can climb unsupervised straight away
• Ages 14-15 need to come back and do a Sign-Off session before they can climb unsupervised (no additional cost)

Climbing shoe hire is included in the price of your session, but we recommend you wear a pair of trainers for the tour and warm up.

Under-18s do not need to be accompanied for this session however, a parent or legal guardian must complete an Under-18 Bouldering form before the start of the session.

Ashtanga Yoga (suitable for all levels)
A dynamic class working with our breath to flow through the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence, building strength and flexibility in the body while quieting the mind.

Yoga mats and blocks are available to borrow from the Studio if you need them.

This session is for AUB/BU Climbing Club Members only. We'll ask you for your Club Membership Card when you check in for your climb.

If you're new to climbing, you'll need to be supervised - to be partnered up with a supervisor, get in touch with the Club Committee through their Facebook page (BU here and AUB here) before you book. Failure to contact the committee prior to your session to arrange supervision for the session will result in you not being able to climb!

Dynamic Flow Yoga (suitable to advanced/experienced practitioners)
Focusing on different parts of movement and our practice each week, you'll arrive into yourself and learn to control your body, building strength, mobility and flexibility along the way. This is a dynamic and more advanced practice, therefore it is advisable to have a good foundation in yoga to reap the benefits of this practice and prevent injury.

Restorative Yoga
A gentle, slow class, focusing on holding postures for longer periods, allowing the body to fall into itself in a passive manner. With calming direction you'll feel the release of tension, tired muscles, and aid in the opening of any tight joints. Finishing with a guided meditation in savasana at the end, you'll leave feeling at peace, with a mind and body nourished and replenished

Join Johnny on a Wednesday where he’ll guide you through an invigorating and mindful Vinyasa Flow. Some yoga experience desired, but for a variety of levels, you’ll focus on breath to guide you through a selection of Ashtanga postures. The learning outcomes for Improver sessions Aim to develop participants to become independent autonomous rock climbers while developing a wider understanding of climbing techniques and ways to improve climbing performance. (Please note: each subsequent level contains more content and therefore takes longer to complete!)

Participation in our Junior Club course requires registering your child for the NICAS Bouldering scheme (this will be done by our coaches) and the purchase of their NICAC Bouldering log book, which we will use to keep track of their progress. This costs £7.50, which will be collected when you arrive for your first session if you are new to the course.
