Jump in the van and join the adventure as we explore a wide variety of local climbing areas. Our Outdoor Adventurers will travel to a new climbing destination each day of the week. Every new area will provide different climbs and activities to explore together.

Groups are made of 4-12 participants, guided by two highly-trained Rock Spot staff members who provide personal climbing instruction each day.

Some prior climbing experience is recommended. All climbing equipment is provided. This program runs best when climbers participate for the full week. Climbers must be at least 10 years old to participate in Outdoor Adventures.

If you’re new to climbing, this one-hour program is for you. Take your time and learn the foundations of climbing technique with a dedicated instructor.

This class covers the following:

• An Overview of the Sport of Climbing: Learn more about the sport and where your climbing journey can take you
• Climbing Terms and Foundational Techniques: This is where we go over everything you need to know to start climbing on the right foot
• Observed Climbing with a Dedicated Instructor: By climbing with someone observing your technique, you can test out some of the new techniques you've learned while asking questions to clarify how to properly apply your new skills.

Get outside and climb on some real rock this summer!

Jump in the van and join the adventure as we explore a wide variety of local climbing areas. Our Outdoor Adventurers will travel to a new climbing destination each day of the week. Every new area will provide different climbs and activities to explore together.

Groups are made of 4-12 participants, guided by two highly-trained Rock Spot staff members who provide personal climbing instruction each day.

Some prior climbing experience is recommended. All climbing equipment is provided. This program runs best when climbers participate for the full week. Climbers must be at least 10 years old to participate in Outdoor Adventures.

Join us for a Jumpstart to your climbing journey!

If you’re new to climbing, this one-hour program is for you. Take your time and learn the foundations of climbing technique with a dedicated instructor.

This class covers the following:

• An Overview of the Sport of Climbing: Learn more about the sport and where your climbing journey can take you
• Climbing Terms and Foundational Techniques: This is where we go over everything you need to know to start climbing on the right foot
• Observed Climbing with a Dedicated Instructor: By climbing with someone observing your technique, you can test out some of the new techniques you've learned while asking questions to clarify how to properly apply your new skills.

This program is free of charge for members. Members, please make sure you are logged in when purchasing this class - your member discount will be automatically applied. Join us for an Overnight at Rock Spot!
Our group events are best for climbers ages 6+. Start with 1.5hrs of climbing with one of our dedicated staff members. After your climbing event your group can stay in the gym for additional climbing. Overnight events run from 8pm-8am. There will be no climbing from midnight until 6am.

Rock Spot overnights include:

• 1.5 hours of staffed climbing and climbing games with our experienced and enthusiastic instructors!
• Low climber to staff ratios to allow us to give each climber the attention they deserve.
• All necessary climbing equipment.
• Access to the facility all night long!

Learn to belay!

For climbers aged 14 and older. Trained instructors will show you how to tie knots, belay (hold the ropes), and use proper climbing terms. This lesson runs approximately 45-60 minutes.

Please note: Participants must have a partner to climb during the class. Partner does not need to be over 14, nor do they need to be enrolled in the lesson if they are not learning to belay.

Join us for a Jumpstart to your climbing journey!

If you’re new to climbing, this one-hour program is for you. Take your time and learn the foundations of climbing technique with a dedicated instructor.

This class covers the following:

• An Overview of the Sport of Climbing: Learn more about the sport and where your climbing journey can take you
• Climbing Terms and Foundational Techniques: This is where we go over everything you need to know to start climbing on the right foot
• Observed Climbing with a Dedicated Instructor: By climbing with someone observing your technique, you can test out some of the new techniques you've learned while asking questions to clarify how to properly apply your new skills.

Let us help you learn all the in’s and out’s of the sport. Come climb with and learn alongside other peers who share your interests!

Teen climbers will learn intermediate and advanced climbing techniques as well as how to train and condition for peak performance. This class is for all ability levels, our low staff to student ratio allows us to provide a social environment while giving your child the individual attention that is needed to help them succeed.

Join us for an Overnight at Rock Spot!
Our group events are best for climbers ages 6+. Start with 1.5hrs of climbing with one of our dedicated staff members. After your climbing event your group can stay in the gym for additional climbing. Overnight events run from 8pm-8am. There will be no climbing from midnight until 6am.

Rock Spot overnights include:

Our Indoor Adventure programs are sure to provide the adventure your climber is looking for! Each day includes a variety of climbing based skills and games as well as team building activities, crafts, and more! This is a great place to make new friends who have a shared interest or to spend time with good friends from outside of the gym.

This program is staffed at a low participant to staff ratio and all staff are trained to give your climbers the best experience possible. Climbers must be at least 6 years old to participate in Indoor Adventures.

What will we do?

Each day is packed full of climbing, activities, and fun. While we try to spend as much time climbing as possible we do understand that our climbers will need some breaks to refresh their muscles and minds, our different activity blocks help us to keep the day exciting while providing those much needed breaks.

Our activity blocks rotate between the following activities: climbing, climbing games, team building games, outdoor games, and crafts. Below are some examples and explanations of activities that can be found in each block.

• Climbing - Time spent on the wall! We will work on skill based techniques and spend time projecting/working on chosen climbs.
• Climbing Games - Games that keep the climbers on the wall while having fun! Some games include: add on, knock out, traverse tag, Simon says, creating new routes, and more!
• Team Building Games - Games that get the group to work together to accomplish a common goal.
• Outdoor Games - Depending on the season we may head outside to rest our climbing muscles. Local parks and fields provide a great space to play capture the flag, tag, kickball, and more.
• Crafts - Another great way to give our muscles a rest is to spend some time creating a craft or two each week. Each full week climber will leave with a handmade tie dye Rock Spot shirt!

This program runs best when climbers participate for the full week. If you would like a guaranteed slot please register for the full-week. Learn to belay!

For climbers aged 14 and older. Trained instructors will show you how to tie knots, belay (hold the ropes), and use proper climbing terms. This lesson runs approximately 45-60 minutes.

Please note: Participants must have a partner to climb during the class. Partner does not need to be over 14, nor do they need to be enrolled in the lesson if they are not learning to belay.
