Interested in different dates, times and locations? Contact guiding@rockspotclimbing.com for information regarding private sessions. We also offer a full range of lessons covering anchors, self rescue, sport climbing and traditional climbing. Some of these lessons take place following the Outdoor Experience and can be booked separately.

Register early if you are able! Outdoor Experience sessions could be canceled if the 4 participant minimum is not reached within 4 days of the event date. Maximum group size of 12 participants.

Establish or expand your outdoor climbing opportunities by learning to set up top rope anchors that utilize clifftop trees and boulders. Your instructor will discuss, demonstrate, and supervise while you gain hands on experience with basic anchor principals.

Topics include gear selection, inspection, route finding, top site safety, basic knots, anchor construction and anchor evaluation. Following this lesson, participants should then be able to build their own top rope anchors at many of our local climbing areas using basic techniques.
For comprehensive top rope anchor building skills, supplement with our other lessons including Self Rescue 101, Sport Climbing 201, Traditional Protection 101, Rappel 101, Top Rope Anchors 202, and Self Rescue 302.

Contact guiding@rockspotclimbing.com with questions or to set up a private session with flexible scheduling and more location options. Private sessions require a 2 participant minimum or 1 individual paying the equivalent of 2 participants.
