Up ENDing Parkinson's is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people with Parkinson's disease improve their quality of life through adaptive rock climbing and movement-based classes. Since 2012, Up ENDing Parkinson's has developed a program that is not only fun and empowering, but also targets many of the syptoms of Parkinson's - like balance, coordination, muscle stiffness, and anxiety.

This program is supported by a grantfrom the American ParkinsonDisease Association Rhode Island Chapter!
This partnership allows us to offer discounted day passes to individuals interested in joining the Up ENDing Meet-Up. Rock Spot Members or Punch Pass users are welcome to join at no additional charge.

If you’re new to climbing, this one-hour program is for you. Take your time and learn the foundations of climbing technique with a dedicated instructor.

This class covers the following:

• An Overview of the Sport of Climbing: Learn more about the sport and where your climbing journey can take you
• Climbing Terms and Foundational Techniques: This is where we go over everything you need to know to start climbing on the right foot
• Observed Climbing with a Dedicated Instructor: By climbing with someone observing your technique, you can test out some of the new techniques you've learned while asking questions to clarify how to properly apply your new skills.

This program is free of charge for members. Members, please make sure you are logged in when purchasing this class - your member discount will be automatically applied. Join us for an all-abilities yoga class geared towards improving your climbing and overall strength!

Our yoga instructor will lead you through an approachable introduction to strength + power focused yoga exercises designed to improve your overall strength to get you moving with more total body power up the climbing wall!

Pre-registration is not required but is encouraged to snag your spot! Spaces are limited. Classes are FREE for members and those who have purchased a day pass.
Yoga mats are available to be rented for $3 per mat.

Ages 4-6
Join us for a 45 minute class once a week. Let us introduce your child to climbing! If your little one is ready to take on new heights, we are ready to help them scale the walls. Little Senders will help your child get used to and excited about climbing in a safety conscious and welcoming environment. They will learn basic skills and techniques and how to move on the wall. In addition your climber will also gather skills that translate out of the gym, including: a growing self-confidence, body awareness, cooperation, and communication skills.

This class is for all ability levels. Our low staff to student ratio allows us to provide a social environment while giving your child the individual attention that is needed to help them succeed.

Ages 6-8
Join us for a 1 hour class once a week over a 10 week session. Let's get climbing! Under skilled instruction, your child will grow as a climber, learning proper climbing skills and techniques. Your child will begin to transfer their love of climbing into a greater understanding of the sport as they take on new responsibility and challenges. In this class, beginner to advanced climbers will be pushed to the next level! Your climber will expand their knowledge of proper climbing technique, movement, and safety, as well as be introduced to the importance of conditioning and training as a climber.

Join us for a Jumpstart to your climbing journey!

If you’re new to climbing, this one-hour program is for you. Take your time and learn the foundations of climbing technique with a dedicated instructor.

This class covers the following:

• An Overview of the Sport of Climbing: Learn more about the sport and where your climbing journey can take you
• Climbing Terms and Foundational Techniques: This is where we go over everything you need to know to start climbing on the right foot
• Observed Climbing with a Dedicated Instructor: By climbing with someone observing your technique, you can test out some of the new techniques you've learned while asking questions to clarify how to properly apply your new skills.

This program is free of charge for members. Members, please make sure you are logged in when purchasing this class - your member discount will be automatically applied. If you are not a member, you may still register for this class, but you will need to pay for facility access, which is not included with this class.
