Experience big wall climbing in Chihuahua's Cascada de Basaseachi National Park, guided by Octavio Aragon and David Olivas. You will ascend the 300 m route “Macuchi” in two days, with one night on the wall. You will use both free climbing and aid climbing techniques. The trip also includes travel from El Paso by van (one day in each direction), camping, and a day for sport climbing. The guides can take a minimum of two participants, and a maximum of 4.

Prerequisites: You should be able to climb 5.10+ on top rope. You will need the fitness to climb 150 m a day (a combination of top-roping and jumarring). The guides will be offering a workshop before the trip. If you’re not sure whether you are ready, ask Octavio by emailing him at ocho@sessiosnclimbing.com

Itinerary:
Friday, 10/17/25 Travel
Saturday, 10/18/25: Sport Climbing, set up tents.
Sunday, 10/19/2025: Begin big wall climb (Macuchi). Sleep on the wall.
Monday, 10/20/2025: Finish Macuchi.
Tuesday, 10/21/2025: Pueblo Magico (visit to town)
Wednesday, 10/22/2025: Return Travel

Price:
$1500 per person . A $750 deposit, due 10/3, will reserve your space on the trip. The $750 balance will be due 10/10.
Refunds: Since we need at least two sign-ups to proceed with this trip, If you are the only sign-up as of October 3, we will refund your $750 deposit. This is the only case in which we can issue a refund.
