Roped climbing fun for little ones

Mini Mountaineers is a session designed specifically for our youngest adventurers, aged 4-6.

This one-hour session combines super fun games with introductory rope climbing, nurturing essential skill development in a safe, supportive environment. Benefits include:

Session length may vary depending if you book an adult, family or kids-only taster. Check calendar for availability.

By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to visit the centre as a boulderer and auto belay user. (Children will still need supervision). If you'd like to keep climbing on the ropes, our Beginners' Courses are the perfect next step.

Looking for new belay partners?

Whether you've just finished a Roped Beginners' course, moved to a new area, or want to grow your climbing circle – our Roped Socials are a great way to meet other climbers and find belay partners.

(Formerly known as Climbers' Club - Partner Scheme), these relaxed 2-hour sessions are open to registered roped climbers. Although not an instructed session, a TCA instructor will lead introductions and a group warm-up. They will also be on hand to offer belaying tips, good practice advice and friendly support for those who need it – especially helpful if you’re new to the centre or roped climbing in general.

Come climb, connect and have fun – we’ll see you on the wall!

Please note: You must be a competent top-rope and lead climber to attend the group. Roped Social is not suitable for anyone looking to learn lead climbing – check out our Adult Lead Courses. Our Youth Climbing classes are a brilliant way for young people to get active, make friends, and have loads of fun on the wall – all while learning to climb safely. Our Learn to Lead course is for confident top-rope climbers ready to take the next step. With expert guidance from our experienced instructors, you’ll gain the skills to climb independently on our ever-changing range of lead routes.

Two-session course – You must be able to attend both parts.

It’s also an ideal stepping stone toward climbing independently with confidence.

If you're working through NICAS, you can use these sessions to keep your logbook up to date.

New to climbing?
You'll need to complete a Beginners’ Course first – under 16s should book the Youth course, over 16s the Adult course. Once you've passed, you're welcome to join the club.
