Ready to start your climbing journey? Our Roped Beginners’ course is the perfect first step, equipping you with the skills and confidence to top-rope independently. No previous experience is needed – just a sense of adventure!

Led by friendly, experienced instructors, you'll learn essential techniques including how to tie in, belay safely and move efficiently on the wall. By the end of the course, you'll feel confident tackling roped climbs on your own, opening the door to a fun and sociable way to stay active.

This course runs over two sessions and you must attend both. Not all centres run both course variations.

Roped Beginners (weeknights)
Our weeknight course runs over two evenings – ideal for building skills gradually around your schedule.

Roped Beginners (weekend) (not available in Glasgow)
Want to get climbing sooner? Our weekend option covers everything over two consecutive days – perfect for fast learners or those keen to dive right in.
