Little Rockers is designed for our youngest climbers ages 3-4. This is a fun-filled, 45 minute introductory climbing program that nurtures natural development with age-appropriate obstacle courses, games, and bouldering. Parental involvement is encouraged to enhance the climbing experience.

Scramblers is designed for young climbers between the ages 5-7. Discover the basics of climbing, make new friends, and climb, climb, climb in this action packed program!

Birthday Parties at The Notch Include:
2 hrs of access to the kids wall on our Upper Mezzanine, party room, kitchenette, fridge, tables, and chairs.
Introduction, warm up game, orientation to climbing, and engaging programming on our kids wall led by our enthusiastic staff (75-90 minutes)
Gear rental is included for all participants
Helpful Guidelines:
Please don’t plan to arrive more than 30 minutes early. The party space may not be ready yet!
The party organizer may arrive to set up 30 minutes early, but should be mindful that staff may also be cleaning and prepping the space during that time.
The Notch will provide orientation, an introduction to climbing safety and technique, and belays for 75-90 minutes of the party.
A waiver is required for all attendees, including parents.
After climbing, attendees may use our party room for food, cake, presents, etc for the remaining 30-45 mins of the 2 hr party block.
Parents are asked to supervise non-climbing activities and one parent may be asked to assist staff with group management as needed.
If a parent is interested in climbing, a day pass (or membership) is required.
Food can only be consumed in the party room. We will climb first, then you may celebrate as you wish!
Sorry, no outside decorations are permitted at this time! No birthday candles please.
Food, drink, utensils, and paper-goods aren’t included in the base price. If you’d like for us to supply food or other supplies, please contact us when you make your reservation to make arrangements.
Cleaning/ damage fees may be assessed. Climbers exceeding the 10 person climbing limit are not permitted without advance discussion with The Notch and, if allowed, will cost $40/ climber rather than $30/climber to cover additional staffing needs.

This class is for all-level practitioners — brand new, returning, and seasoned!
Beginning with a breath-focused arrival, moving into a more active practice baked full of opportunity for strengthening and stretching (based on class need), and completing with integration and rest — this practice will focus on embodiment, community, and connection.
We will start with ground school, learning to build top rope anchors and clean them inside at The Notch. Then we will head out to the crag where we will learn about navigation and etiquette. Finally, we will put our skills together on bolted outdoor climbs under the supervision of a certified guide from Peak Ascents.
Session 1: May 14th, 6-8pm at The Notch AND May 17th, 8am-2pm at Rumney Rocks.
Session 2: June 18th, 6-8pm at The Notch AND June 21st, 8am-2pm at Rumney Rocks.
