Ages: Minimum 12 years old

Have you been stuck at a certain grade for longer than you'd like? Do you feel like you don't know what adjustments to make on your project? You might need Climb On 2!

Climb On 2 is a course focused on maintaining your climbing progression, whether you've been climbing for a month or you've already got a few years of experience! One of our experienced Climber's Education Coaches will cover topics such as:

  • The meaning of terms like send, flash, redpoint, etc
  • Route-reading fundamentals, understanding beta, and moving through a climb
  • Techniques like flagging, heel and toe hooks, smearing, etc
  • Tips for doing moves and covering distance efficiently

Climb On 2 is built around the roadblocks that tend to pop up when trying to move from the 5.9-5.10 range into 5.11s, or from V2-3 into V4-6. These grades are where many climbers discover a more challenging technical barrier for improvement. But don't worry if you're climbing above or below the suggested grade range, the topics of this course are beneficial for all climbing levels! This course will help you analyze your climbing, make adjustments on the wall, and find methods for improvement besides just trying the next highest grade. Come take Climb On 2 and break through your glass ceiling!

Prerequisites:

  • Top rope certified at Vertical View
  • Taking Climb On 1 beforehand is strongly recommended
  • Recommended Confidently climbing in the 5.8-10a/V1-2 range, and pushing towards 5.10+ and V4+
